Frequently asked questions

Which effect is safest for passwords or ID numbers?

Use Black box. Light mosaic or blur on short text can sometimes be guessed, while a solid box removes the information completely.

Are my images uploaded?

No. Everything happens in your browser, so your photos and screenshots never leave your device.

Is the location data removed?

Yes. The downloaded image is redrawn from scratch, so EXIF data such as GPS location and camera details is not included.

Will the image quality drop?

Screenshots and PNGs are saved as lossless PNG. Photos are saved as high-quality JPEG.
