Website Color Picker

Paste a website link or drop an image, then hover to read the color under your cursor.

Our server loads the page and takes a screenshot for you.

How to use the color picker

  1. Enter the address and press Open site. When the page has fully loaded, come back and press Capture tab — or use Auto capture to let our server take the screenshot.
  2. Move your mouse over the screenshot. The magnifier shows the exact pixel and its HEX, RGB and HSL values.
  3. Click to save a color to your palette, then copy any code with one click.
  4. Got a screenshot or design file already? Switch to the Image tab and drop it in — nothing is uploaded, it stays in your browser.

Why pick colors from a screenshot?

Browsers do not allow one site to read the pixels of another, so a normal eyedropper cannot reach into a page you only have a link to. Capturing the page as an image solves that: every pixel, including gradients, photos and buttons, becomes readable.

HEX, RGB and HSL explained

HEX
A six-digit code like #3B82F6, used in CSS and most design tools.
RGB
Red, green and blue values from 0 to 255, e.g. rgb(59, 130, 246).
HSL
Hue (0–360°), saturation and lightness in percent — handy for making lighter or darker shades.

Frequently asked questions

Is it free?

Yes. The tool is completely free and needs no account.

Why did a page fail to capture?

Auto capture cannot open pages that require login or block automated browsers. Use Capture tab instead — it captures the page exactly as you see it in your own browser.

Are my images uploaded?

No. Images you open in the Image tab are processed entirely in your browser.

Why does a color differ slightly from the CSS value?

Anti-aliasing, shadows and image compression can shift edge pixels by a few values. Pick from the center of a solid area for the most accurate result.
