Invisible Character

Copy a blank character for empty names, messages and spacing.

How to use invisible characters

  1. Press Copy next to the character you want.
  2. Paste it into the name or message field.
  3. If the app rejects it, try another character from the list.

Why a normal space doesn't work

Apps usually trim spaces from the start and end of names and reject names that become empty. Invisible characters are real letters in Unicode that simply have no visible shape, so they pass these checks.

Which character to choose

U+3164 Hangul filler is the most widely accepted. If a game blocks it, try U+2800 braille blank or U+FFA0. Zero-width spaces are invisible but often stripped, and some apps show them as boxes.

Other uses

Blank lines in Instagram bios and captions, spacing in Discord messages, stopping a platform from turning text into a link, or aligning text where extra spaces collapse.

Frequently asked questions

Why use an invisible character?

To have a blank name in games or Discord, send an empty-looking message, or add spacing where normal spaces are removed.

Which one works in my game?

The Hangul filler (U+3164) works in most games and apps. If it is blocked, try the braille blank or halfwidth filler.

Why did my blank disappear?

Some apps trim zero-width and space characters. Use a filler character, which counts as a letter.

Is it allowed?

Most apps allow it, but some games ban blank names. Check the rules to avoid having your name reset.
