Can I paste from Excel?

Yes. Copy cells in Excel or Google Sheets, paste them into the box and click Import.

How do I edit an existing Markdown table?

Paste it into the import box. Cells and column alignment are read back into the grid.

What about | and line breaks in cells?

A | is escaped as \| and a line break becomes <br>, so the table stays valid.
