Screen Recorder

Record your screen in the browser β€” no install, no watermark.

The recording stays on your device; nothing is uploaded. To capture sound, tick "Share audio" when choosing a tab or screen.

How to record your screen

  1. Choose whether to include your microphone and press Start recording.
  2. Pick the whole screen, a window or a tab to share.
  3. Press Stop recording, check the preview and download the video.

Recording in the browser

The recorder uses the browser's screen sharing to capture a screen, window or tab, and can mix in your microphone for narration.

Recording sound

Tick the option to share audio when you choose a tab or screen. Tab audio works on all desktop systems; system audio is available on Windows.

Good recordings

Close notifications, use a tab for a cleaner recording and do a short test first. Long recordings use memory, so save regularly by recording in parts.

Frequently asked questions

Is there a time limit or watermark?

No. You can record as long as your device has memory, and the video has no watermark.

What format is the video?

Chrome, Edge and Firefox save WebM, which plays in browsers, VLC and most editors. Safari saves MP4.

Why is there no sound?

Tick "Share tab audio" or "Share system audio" in the sharing dialog. Windows can share system audio; macOS can only share tab audio.

Does it work on phones?

Mobile browsers don't allow screen capture, so use your phone's built-in screen recorder instead.
